Had to do exactly this - unmanaged switch downstream from my main puck. Moved from business class internet to residential, so only 1 Ethernet switch on the modem. Work from home - can't use wifi, only wired. So modem>puck>switch>work PC. Works wonderfully ZTJZMd.
